Year 10 students from M4 spent time with our new entrants in Room 6 as part of our kura-wide focus on whanaungatanga—building strong, meaningful connections. The M4 students, acting as tuakana (older buddies), prepared two songs to share, while Room 6 taught them a fun new game in return. It was a beautiful exchange of learning, laughter, and leadership. These moments reflect our commitment to nurturing a sense of belonging and connection across year levels, honouring the Māori value of tuakana-teina and strengthening our school community.
