This term, Room 9 is diving into the world of fractions and what a fantastic start we've had! This week, we’ve been reintroduced to the concept of fractions, and it’s been great to see how quickly the students have picked things up.

Today, we explored fraction tiles through a hands-on challenge where tamariki had to find different ways to use the tiles to make one whole, less than one whole, and more than one whole. They then recorded and explained how they knew their combinations were correct. The class had an absolute blast experimenting, problem-solving, and sharing their thinking with one another.
