Earlier this year, Tracy Scott from the Peace Foundation visited TAS to work with Room 4 and our Year 12–13 students. From this, a group of enthusiastic Year 4–6 students volunteered to become Peer Mediators, with some continuing their involvement after completing their training last year. During Term 2, our Junior Peer Mediators began supporting students in the playground at lunchtime, wearing their green vests and carrying their clipboard. They help resolve minor conflicts by supporting students to find fair solutions.Last week, Tracy returned to provide further training to both the Junior team and a group of Year 12–13 students. While the Senior team is still in development, they are already supporting our Junior Mediators and helping plan activities for Peace Week next week.
