Deputy Head Student, Alexandria Swain, has updates, including this week's student Riddle Competition and a reminder about the upcoming NCEA Derived Grade Exams. Kia Ora students and whanau, welcome back to term 3 week three. This term is already off to a busy and exciting start! Students in the middle and senior school have been putting their thinking caps on for our Riddle Competition. Each day, new riddles are shown, with students racing to solve them first in their houses. It’s been fantastic to see so many getting involved and sharpening their critical thinking skills. Prizes and house points are up for grabs, so keep those answers coming in.Meanwhile, construction on the new school building is progressing well. The foundations are complete, and framing is already going up. It’s exciting to see the vision come to life, and we can’t wait for the learning opportunities the new spaces will bring. Senior students are also preparing for Derived Grade Exams, which are just around the corner. These are a crucial part of their academic progress, and we encourage all students to study steadily and make use of the support available.Over in the Junior School, classrooms have been bursting with energy and creativity. Students have been involved in a variety of activities, from writing their own stories and poems to joining in on fun group singing sessions. It’s wonderful to see our younger learners developing their confidence and communication skills in such joyful ways.More updates and news to come as the term continues!
