What a fantastic and eventful day M2 had at the Tekapo Springs Ice Skating Rink! ❄️ ⛸️ From the moment we laced up our skates, there was a real buzz of excitement in the air. For many students, this was their very first time on the ice, and it was wonderful to see everyone giving it a go – whether they were gliding confidently, shuffling carefully, or occasionally tumbling with a laugh. The rink was filled with plenty of smiles and laughter, and while there were a few bumps and spills along the way (including one very brave student who unfortunately dislocated a knee – ouch!), the resilience and positivity shown by the class was outstanding. Everyone supported each other, cheered each other on, and celebrated even the smallest victories as skaters found their balance and gained confidence. We were especially proud to learn that M2 was recognised as the politest and best-behaved class from any school to visit Tekapo Springs so far. That is such a fantastic reflection of the kindness, respect, and teamwork our students show both inside and outside the classroom – ka pai, M2!A huge thank you must go to Miss Neill, Nick MacKay, Troy Sheridan, and Ms Saunders, who joined us on the trip and helped make the day such a success. Their encouragement and support made sure everyone felt safe, confident, and able to enjoy themselves. It was an unforgettable day of fun, challenge, and learning – one we’ll all be talking about for a long time to come!
