As well as in-class events, we are celebrating the ātaahua (beautiful) Māori language in the following ways, Kēmu e to Pō - Games Evening5-6 pm Monday in the foyer. All are welcome. Y1-6 must be accompanied by an adult and all students are to stay in the designated spaces. Please enter and exit the school by the main entrance. Games, puzzles, weaving, waiata. We are excited to welcome our special guest judges, Jaz Rosanowski and Belinda Purcell, who will help us celebrate the talent and enthusiasm of our students. Whānau and the wider community are warmly invited to come along and support our singersTe Ara o te Wai - the path of the waterThe internal colour scheme of our new kura (school) represents the path of water from the mauka (mountains) to the moana (ocean). Each student will create a piece of bunting to represent one of these aspects. These will be packed away until we are able to display them in our new hallways next year.Kupu (words) to represent the artwork will be displayed on each piece, for example Haupapa Tasman Glacier, Te Awawhakamau the Tasman River, Roto Pukaki Lake Pukaki, and Waitaki Awa the Waitaki River.Ki o Rahi CompetitionSenior student leaders are running a house Ki o Rahi competition at lunchtimes.
