Head Student Kiara has some updates and reminders, including Senior Spirit Week and of course, the fast-approaching NCEA external exams.

Kia ora koutou, welcome to week three of term 4!

This term has been all go from the very start, last week we held the Junior athletics on Tuesday which looked like a great success from my point of view. A massive thank you to the students, teachers and parents who helped out with that and made it possible. We also had a slightly disrupted week last week with the Strike days for our senior year groups. There is more Strike action to come this Thursday for the whole school!

This week our seniors are celebrating Spirit Week, as I’m writing this, it is to 'Dress Up as your Parents Day'. We still have 'Decades', 'Meme Day' and 'You in 10 Years' to come. Students are participating in a few activities, and there are prizes to be won at the end of the week for the best outfits! Alongside that, we have camp for our middle school starting today, and St John's in school coming this week for the younger students.

Despite the disruptions, seniors have been studying hard for the fast-approaching NCEA external exams. With only one full week of school left before study leave starts, our seniors are definitely feeling the pressure at the moment. From experience, the only advice I can give is that the work you put in now definitely counts, so make the most of it!
