Last week, TAS once again lit up with colour as students and staff took part in the school’s annual Colour Run—a much-loved event that brings the whole school community together.

Despite the strong winds, the event went ahead as planned, and the blustery conditions only added to the fun! The gusts helped the coloured powder spread even further, coating everyone in bright hues and ensuring no one stayed clean for long.

By the end of the day, teachers at the various colour stations were barely recognisable, with many looking like Minions and Smurfs thanks to the mix of yellow and blue powder flying through the air. The smiles and laughter said it all—students from Year 1 right through to Year 13 had an absolute blast.

Adding to the excitement, the local fire brigade joined in the fun, bringing along their hoses to add a water element that was a huge hit with students and staff alike. The combination of water and colour turned the event into a vibrant, joy-filled spectacle that truly reflected the spirit of the Twizel school community.

This year’s Colour Run also took a slightly different approach to fundraising. By managing the fundraising directly, the school was able to ensure that every dollar raised stays within the school, going toward the purchase of new outdoor play equipment for the exciting new school site.

If you still have any fundraising money to hand in, please do so as soon as possible. Every contribution helps us create fantastic play spaces for children to enjoy when the new school opens next year.
