This is a central position within our modern, state-of-the-art new school. About the RoleThis is more than just checking out books. You will play a key role in supporting learning outcomes and providing information services. Your goal will be to create a library environment that inspires students to become curious, independent thinkers and lifelong learners.You will assist in creating a welcoming, inclusive space that fosters learning, creativity, and pastoral connection. Position DetailsHours: Part-time (2 days per week), term-time only.Start: 2026Key ResponsibilitiesManage & Administer: Oversee the daily organisation and administration of the library.Create a Learning Hub: Maintain a vibrant, inclusive, and collaborative atmosphere that supports reading and study.Support & Advise: Advise students and staff on the effective use of online resources and assist with research and book selection.Foster Culture: Uphold a culturally responsive environment, including a committed approach to Te Reo Māori and fostering a sense of belonging.Curate: Demonstrate a passion for reading with a wide knowledge of books and authors to engage students of all ages.About YouTo be successful in this position, you must relate well to students and staff and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
