Kia Ora, As we head into the final two weeks of Term One, here’s a quick update on all the amazing things we’ve been up to.

It was a day of "four seasons in one hour" last Friday as our TAS athletes headed to Oamaru for the North Otago Primary School Rippa Tournament. While the scoreboard saw plenty of action, the real battle was against the elements!

This year was the first year that Aoraki Secondary Schools Athletics provided a well thought out 'No Limits' Programme for our Supported Learning Students

At age 11 Yug Thapa started playing tennis when his Dad suggested he join the Twizel Hot Shots Tennis club.

It has been an incredibly busy start to the year for the Board, as we continue to work hard to ensure we are setting the school up for success.

Last Wednesday, the TAS Field was buzzing with energy as we hosted the highly anticipated Country High Athletics meet. It was a fantastic day of competition and community spirit, as we welcomed over 150 talented student-athletes from Waimate, Fairlie, Temuka, and Geraldine.

After a bit of a delay middle school and senior school students are getting to cook in our fabulous new kitchen.

We are excited to announce that Harold the Giraffe and the Life Education mobile classroom will be visiting Twizel next week!

Over the last weekend, you may have noticed a significant upgrade to our sporting facilities! We are thrilled to announce that two brand-new school long jump pits have been successfully installed and are ready for action.

We are thrilled to announce the launch of our major Twizel Area School Cookbook Fundraiser! This Term 1 and 2, we are coming together to support our talented students who will be selected to represent our school at the National Area Schools Sporting Tournament in Whangārei during the final week of Term 2.

As we transition into our new school year, please be aware that we will be using the free version of Seesaw.

It is a privilege to officially welcome all the new students and families who have joined our school community since the start of the year.

Please be assured that there will be no change to the current school uniform until 2027. Until that time, the existing uniform remains in place.
